Christina Calhoun Zubowicz started Magnolia Events & Planning in 2004 after training specifically for wedding planning under former Wedding Essentials’ coordinator Robin Kreitner. She earned her event stripes with Bold American Catering and The Fifth Group Restaurants, serving in both event and operations management in addition as an interim marketing coordinator. Over the past twenty years, in her own business and working with others, she has been integral to the planning and management of hundreds of weddings and corporate events, locally and regionally. She was recognized as a “Reason to Return” to Bold American Catering. Her clients have included national publications and Fortune 500 companies, as well as small businesses and individuals. She is a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants.
Christina also has eight years restaurant management experience with legendary Atlanta restaurants like Bridgetown Grill, Indigo Coastal Grill and the renowned Seeger’s, where she served on the team that earned the Mobil Five Star Award and the AAA Five Diamond Award.
Christina has a BBA in Management with concentration in Marketing from Georgia State University and a Masters in Psychology from the State University of West Georgia. She is currently a student pilot at Aviation Atlanta, where she has completed her first solo flight. She serves on the Board of Directors of The Frazer Center and Cator Woolford Gardens, which serves the needs of children and adults with developmental disabilities. She also lends her time and talents to numerous committees and participates in many local charities year `round.
